I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a solid background in evidence-based care, combined with genuine compassion and a commitment to helping my patients overcome challenges and improve their quality of life. Over the past eight years, I have worked with children, teens, and adults on various mental health issues. My research experience covers topics like disordered eating, self-esteem, and media influences, which helps me understand how external factors affect mental health. Most importantly, I see therapy as a partnership built on trust, respect, and your unique strengths and experiences.
I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University New England, along with Master degrees in Clinical Psychology and Media Studies, and a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA. My experience includes APA-accredited placements at respected institutions, including the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System. I specialize in helping couples and adults navigate relationship challenges, cultural differences, and major life transitions. My work is especially focused on couples who feel disconnected, stuck in recurring conflict, or unsure how to rebuild trust and emotional closeness. I also support individuals balancing career, family, cultural adjustment, and the demands of a new chapter.
Hi! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 13 years of experience in the helping profession and 7 years as a therapist. I have a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to making high-quality mental health care accessible to everyone, especially individuals in underserved and rural communities. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and through telehealth.
I believe mental health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and free of judgment. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, or another mental health concern, we’ll work together to build a treatment plan that fits your life, not someone else’s.
I combine evidence-based medicine with a whole-person approach, recognizing that sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and daily habits all play an important role in emotional well-being. My priority is helping you feel better while empowering you with the tools to thrive long after our appointments.
Hi! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and other emotional challenges in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. I use evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs and am trained in both EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. I’m a cis-gender heterosexual female. My husband and I have a high school aged son. I’m originally from St. Louis, MO but I have lived in Florida for a combined 36 years because I love living in paradise. One of the things I enjoy about virtual work is seeing my clients’ pets too.
I was a non-traditional student and got my bachelor's degree at 29 and my master's degree at 32. The life skills I gained as I worked my way through school have been helpful throughout my career. For some people, the age of their therapist is important. I am 49 years old.
Some of my helpful qualities include being non-judgmental. I have talked to people of all kinds, many ages with all kinds of histories and all kinds of present lives. There really isn't a topic you can't discuss with me, I have never felt a client gave me "TMI" or too much information. You are guaranteed privacy and confidentiality. You can get judgment for free anywhere else. I believe everyone is doing the best they can with what they know.
I am often told after first sessions that I'm easy to talk to and those clients feel better just having gotten some things off their chest.
I have treated children and teens throughout my career beginning at my first job in foster care.since beginning in I graduated from my masters degree. I have also treated adults with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, sexual dysfunction, porn addiction, people in the LGBTQ community & people in alternative lifestyles.
I also treated patients in hospice as well as other medical settings. I treat people with chronic illnesses and occasionally I treat people with life limiting illnesses.
Here at Headway I will treat anyone who is 10 or older because I believe they are best suited for virtual therapy. I'm open to appeals about this policy.
