Hi, I’m Laura and I specialize in helping women and teens heal from trauma, whether it shows up as anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling completely disconnected from themselves. I experienced trauma growing up and know firsthand how it impacts the whole body.

Through Somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR, I help clients release what’s stuck in their bodies and rebuild trust in themselves—because healing isn’t about “getting over it,” it’s about feeling safe again.

I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach addressing all aspects of a client's whole self, to help the client find healing, hope and freedom to navigate life's challenges and learn to thrive. Although I work with clients of all ages, I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. I am committed to instilling hope in the lives of clients and their families. I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works from the belief that people are not broken—and that many of the struggles we call “mental illness” make sense when we look at trauma, context, and lived experience. I’m especially attuned to the ways mental health systems, stigma, and labels can unintentionally cause harm, and I aim to practice in a way that feels respectful, collaborative, and deeply human.

My approach is unconventional and trauma-informed, influenced by perspectives like those of Gabor Maté, which emphasize compassion, curiosity, and understanding symptoms as meaningful responses rather than defects. I do not believe in rushing to pathologize the human experience. As Joni Mitchell once reflected about depression, sometimes what we’re feeling is not an illness to be fixed, but a signal—an honest response to pain, loss, or a world that has not been kind.

I have a heart to see breakthrough, healing, and freedom for my clients. I have 20+ years history of working with adolescents and adults with learning differences: neurodivergence, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning deficits. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with trauma, abuse, identity, and somatic issues.

I have been in the mental health field for over twelve years. My experience has allowed me to provide therapeutic services focused on those who have experienced trauma, family issues, lack of identity/purpose, and couples/relationship issues.
