Welcome! I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life.
My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or have struggled with symptoms for years, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.
I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy and lifestyle recommendations.
My philosophy is simple: Every person deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given the tools to thrive. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, open communication, and a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
It is a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to partnering with you to help you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve lasting emotional wellness.
I am a therapist dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward self-understanding, emotional well-being, and personal growth. I believe that every person has the inner strength and resilience to overcome life’s challenges. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience spanning child welfare, institutional settings like the Department of Corrections and Kaiser Permanente, and private practice. This give me a uniquely grounded perspective on the full range of human experience. I've worked extensively with families, adolescents, and adults, helping people navigate mood and personality disorders, domestic violence, anger management, and the complex aftermath of adoption and reunification. I am culturally competent and committed to meeting every client exactly where they are, with unconditional positive regard and a deep belief that there are always underlying causes behind the symptoms and behaviors that bring someone to therapy.
What patterns keep repeating in your life, even when part of you wants something different? I work with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, with a particular focus on experiences that are hard to put into words: the quiet accumulation of feeling disconnected or unseen, questions around adoption and family origins, infertility, the emotional weight of becoming a parent, and the grief that comes when life takes an unexpected shape. A lot of what brings people to therapy is not a single event. It builds. I trained at UCLA and bring both clinical depth and genuine warmth to this work.
I believe therapy is a journey, one in which the client is the navigating driver. As a Licensed marriage and family therapist, I take the passenger seat and support my clients in the direction they chose to go with in their therapeutic journey. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients, drawing on empathy, respect, and transparency to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
I have been a Nurse Practitioner in an Emergency Department for over ten years. Due to the pandemic, our emergency room has been impacted by psychiatric patients, and I realized that there is a need for nurse practitioners like me to truly help others. Some patients wait hours or overnight in our emergency department to be evaluated. I want to bridge the gap and make a difference by providing care here in Headway.
I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the field. I have worked with children, teens, adults, parents and couples. In addition, I am certified as a Gottman Institute Bringing Baby Home Educator, a research based program offering support during the transition to parenthood.
I am an LMFT with more than 15 years of experience in trauma, relationships, and family systems.
I am non-judgmental, open-minded and solution focused. I have a trauma history of my own and I get it. I can shine a light on the path out of there. I will meet you where you are at and walk with you to a place that is happier and healthier. I am an art therapist, and believe in past life-times that have had an effect on who we have become. I was born into a conservative religion and escaped. I specialize in helping people leave organized religion.
Psychotherapy provided to adults seeking support. In treatment,we can create/reach goals to cope successfully while decreasing symptoms of anxiety/depression. Both short-term and long-term assistance available.
As a therapist my goal is to break the stigma that comes with therapy. I strive to create a collaborative, nurturing therapeutic relationship that can help transform one's pain or uncertainties into one of healing. Life can be difficult and sometimes confusing therefore I want to create a corner where one can feel safe, understood, and free of judgement.
