Currently am accepting people who are ages 16-120 and I have years of experience supporting people with managing Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Difficulties, Mens issues, Woman's issues, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Couples Counseling, Teens, and Adults.
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Illinois, and can see clients from both states. Welcome! I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life circumstances.
My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or have struggled with symptoms for years, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.
I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy and lifestyle recommendations.
My philosophy is simple: Every person deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given the tools to thrive. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, open communication, and a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
It is a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to partnering with you to help you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve lasting emotional wellness.
I'm Virginia Rubio, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I spent more than a decade as a registered nurse in settings that shaped how I practice today. I worked telemetry and medical-surgical units at a community hospital, cared for patients at a state psychiatric hospital, and provided care in correctional and juvenile health settings. Those environments put me alongside people at some of the hardest points in their lives, often people who had been dismissed or overlooked elsewhere. That's where I learned that being genuinely listened to is itself part of treatment.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, and sleep difficulties. I have a particular interest in women's mental health — perinatal concerns, hormonal and life transitions, and the specific pressures women often carry without naming them. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I see patients throughout California by secure video.
Outside of work, I recharge with my family, time outdoors and on my feet, and a mindfulness practice I've kept up for years. Those things aren't separate from how I practice; they're a large part of why I believe daily habits and emotional health can't be pulled apart.

I welcome people of all ages and backgrounds. I offer therapy in English and Spanish. With more than 20 years of experience, I listen closely, speak honestly, and help you focus on changes that matter to you.
