Welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dually licensed in California and Florida. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from George Mason University in 2018 and have worked in the mental health field since 2016.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and individuals from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities across a variety of settings, including outpatient, school-based, intensive in-home, community-based, therapeutic day treatment, and residential programs.
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, build healthy coping skills, navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, and break patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're facing anxiety, past trauma, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, I'm here to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Hola! I'm Maribel, a seasoned provider of 20 years who believes in starting where you are. I will support you through your current struggle. I partner with you in your healing. I look forward to supporting your growth and helping you discover your strengths and patterns so you regain control of your journey. I am EMDR Trained, Certified in HeartMath (biofeedback technique) and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider.
You might have experienced childhood trauma, a distressing single event and/or are overwhelmed by society's impossible demands placed on mothers or with being a neurodivergent brain in our neurotypical-dominant society. You might look like you have it all together (or not!); but either way, are overwhelmed and discouraged. You might be confused, dissociating, or have no idea how you feel.
Come as you are. However you are. You are so welcomed here.
You can experience wellness within even in the midst of your past (or present) circumstances.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I provide a welcoming environment that is safe, nurturing, and judgment-free.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who is passionate about providing compassionate, supportive, and individualized mental health care. I work with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, mood changes, trauma-related concerns, or life stressors.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and clinical director of a non-profit organization. I have a BA, MA, and Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology. My passion is meeting people where they are but not leaving them there. I believe in authenticity which includes acknowledging the good, the bad, and the ugly. My motto is, Life will bring us stressors, but it doesn't have to bring us stress.
Born and raised in the Midwest, I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University before earning my master’s degree in New York City (Fordham University). I later relocated to the Bay Area to establish my private practice. While I work with adults navigating a wide range of life challenges, I specialize in supporting women through infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum transition.
I am doing work I love whole-heartedly. I have always loved hearing people's stories, and getting to know what makes people feel most alive. My empathy, warmth and openness support people in feeling comfortable and held in session.
Great to meet you!
