Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to being the one who holds things together for everyone else. I work with teens and adults who may look capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are insightful and thoughtful people who want more than quick coping strategies — they want to understand themselves more deeply and experience real, lasting change.
My name is Ebony Walker and I am an LPC in the State of Virginia. I completed my undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained my Masters Degree from Liberty University. I have a history of working with individuals with a broad range of concerns to include: depression, stress/anxiety, lack of coping skills, issues with anger, relationship issues, trauma, poor communication, abuse/neglect, relationship and family conflict with focus on adults, adolescents and couples.
Maybe your mind never seems to slow down. You're managing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, ADHD, grief, or the weight of something painful, while trying to keep up with everyday life. I'm Danielle, an LCSW, certified perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C), and EMDR-trained therapist. I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I also support women, partners, and parents through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and loss, when life can feel both beautiful and overwhelming.
This field is everything to me. I have been fully licensed for a short time but have worked in mental health for over 10 years in many roles. Working with clients, being alongside them through their most difficult and profound experiences, is the biggest honor one could have.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale. You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or arrive with everything figured out. It needs to be your safe place.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply human. I work with people who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or exhausted from carrying too much for too long. Together, we make space to understand what you’ve been through, what your nervous system has learned to protect you from, and what you need now in order to heal and move forward.
I created Gentle Ground Therapy with the hope of offering exactly what the name represents—a soft place to land, where you feel comfortable and safe.
You are more than what has happened to you, and healing does not mean becoming someone new. Sometimes it means gently finding your way back to yourself.
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults realize their maximum potential by assisting with overcoming struggles, stress, and trauma.
I help couples build deeper connections and enhance eroticism in their lives. I studied to obtain my Certification in Sex Therapy from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. My work focuses on a number of sexual health and mental health issues, including desire discrepancies, physical concerns that limit one's ability to enjoy preferred sexual activities, erotic recovery after infidelity and/or trauma, establishment of monogamy agreements, kink-affirming care and assistance to co-create polyamorous relationship agreements. I also see clients for more generalist concerns including anxiety, depression, the general stress of living in the world today. Some of the concerns I help couples and poly folks with include: communication difficulties and strategies for interpersonal effectiveness in relationship, including coaching on scripted communication strategies; enhancement of desire, play and eroticism; recovery from infidelity; integration of kink/poly dynamics.
Asking for help is often the hardest part of the journey. I support individuals, couples, and families through transitions, relationship strain, and trauma. With 25 years of experience, I offer warm space where you can feel heard. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your goals. Together, we will untangle patterns, improve communication, and uncover the resilience you already possess. Whether you seek clarity, healing, or change, we will create practical steps forward at a pace that feels right for you. You do not have to navigate this chapter alone; I am here to help you begin with safety, honesty, and hope.
