Hello, I am Anna. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in private practice since 2013, and I graduated with my MSW in 2006. I specialize in anxiety and panic disorders, Bipolar and mood disorders, Life transitions, LGBTQIA+ needs and Women's issues. I welcome all types of relationship dynamics in my sessions.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. Reaching out for therapy can be difficult, whether you are struggling with a specific concern, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling like things have become harder to manage. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself and feel comfortable exploring what brings you to therapy.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents, college students, adults, and older adults. I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and trauma. I have specialized expertise in trauma across the lifespan, reproductive and perinatal mental health, neurodiversity, ADHD, and autism-related concerns. I also provide play therapy for children, using developmentally appropriate approaches to help children express themselves, build coping skills, and work through difficult experiences.
I particularly enjoy working with college students and professionals who are balancing demanding careers, relationships, family responsibilities, and the many expectations of adult life. I have worked with educators, college professors, healthcare providers, attorneys, government employees, and other professionals who may be accustomed to caring for others while finding it difficult to make space for themselves.
My name is Amanda, and my practice was founded based on the power of connection, empathy, and grace. I really believe in the therapeutic relationship and enjoy walking alongside my clients. My background is social work, as I have truly always valued helping people. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work, as well as my master’s degree in social work. I have experience working within the hospital setting, within community mental health, within the court and administrative system, as well as working within the health department. Additionally, I have experience working within residential treatment settings, working with high acuity clients. My true passion is mental health, and I am blessed to be able to focus my intentions on helping to serve clients in my community. . I enjoy working with clients on a variety of areas that include anxiety, depression, life adjustment, relationships, family dynamics, trauma, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
Looking for a space where you don't have to pretend you're fine? My approach is warm, direct, and culturally aware, with a focus on getting to the root of what's draining you. We'll work together to build healthier patterns, better boundaries, and a life that feels more aligned with who you are and not who you're "supposed" to be.
