Do you ever feel stuck in your relationships or find yourself repeating patterns that leave you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward? You may understand what you want to change but still find yourself responding in familiar ways. I believe these patterns often make sense when we take time to understand where they come from.
My work is grounded in attachment and relational approaches. I enjoy helping clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and beliefs about themselves influence the way they connect with others. Together, we can work toward greater self-understanding, stronger boundaries, healthier communication, and more meaningful relationships.
I bring Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Special Education, along with over 10 years of experience in trauma and addiction counseling. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship and family challenges, identity, and life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and compassionate, and I draw from attachment-based, psychodynamic, strengths-based, mindfulness, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
As a biracial therapist with African American and Norwegian heritage, I value the ways culture, identity, and lived experiences shape our relationships and sense of self. I strive to create a space where you can feel seen, understood, and accepted as you are. I also offer therapy in both English and Norwegian.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Healtn and Family Nurse Practitioner, I bring a unique whole-person perspective to mental health. I have over 11 years of experience as a nurse practitioner treating a variety of acute and chronic physical and mental health conditions. Reaching out for help can be an important first step. I will create a space where you feel comfortable in that first step. Whether you’re experiencing symptoms for the first time, looking for a new provider, or seeking a different approach to your current treatment, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Does the pressure to meet expectations, whether from family, society, or yourself, affect your relationships, self-worth, or ability to manage your day-to-day responsibilities? Are you feeling lost or overwhelmed during transitions, whether it’s starting college, a new career, or navigating adulthood? Do you wonder if your mental health will ever improve, especially as you embark on this journey for the first time?
I’m glad you’re here—I care deeply about helping people improve their emotional and mental well-being by working through past and present challenges. My own journey has shown me the value of therapy in navigating life’s difficulties. I specialize in women’s issues, mental performance, anxiety and depression, adult children of alcoholics, and life transitions. As a devoted Christian, I offer Christian counseling upon request.
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist whose work is grounded in evidence-based, compassionate care. I completed advanced graduate training in clinical psychology, followed by supervised work in outpatient and higher-acuity settings, where I treated adults and adolescents with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
In my practice, I primarily use approaches like CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed therapies, integrating them in a way that’s tailored to each person rather than one-size-fits-all. I pay close attention to cultural and contextual factors, and I use measurement-based care so we can see whether treatment is actually helping you over time.
Clients often describe me as understanding, direct, and collaborative: I’ll bring structure and clinical expertise while also respecting your pace and values. I work with individual adults (and in some cases teens) who are dealing with issues like chronic stress, perfectionism, identity and life transitions, grief, and the impact of past traumatic experiences.
My goal is to provide a space that is both validating and change-focused; somewhere you can be fully honest, feel understood, and also develop practical skills to live in a way that feels more aligned with who you want to be
I have had the privilege of working with individuals who deal with substance abuse and co-occurring issues for 4+ years. I also have experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, OCD, body image issues, adjustment disorders, grief, and trauma . I received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. I received my EMDR training in 2020 and integrate this into my counseling as needed.
