I am Margaret Swanson, a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW) in both Vermont and New Hampshire. I specialize in trauma - informed care and work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder, bipolar disorder, substance abuse and relationship challenges. My approach draws heavily on Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) - approaches I believe are especially powerful when trauma has made it harder to trust others and move forward. Jacki Veler, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of nursing experience. She earned her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University in 2021 and her PMHNP Graduate Certificate from the University of Toledo in 2022. At NewHeart Mental Health and Wellness in Oak Harbor, Ohio, she delivers in person and remote outpatient psychiatry and addiction treatment for adults and children across the entire lifespan. She also provides inpatient psychiatric care at a behavioral health hospital.

Stimulants, Suboxone and Benzodiazepines are prescribed in this practice with DEA guidelines. Dr. Padilla is a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the New York tri-state area and has over 30 years of experience in healthcare. He treats children from 6 years old through adulthood, focusing on psychiatric medication management. He specializes in mental health and has extensive experience in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Padilla takes a “start low and go slow” approach to prescribing, paying special attention to medication potency and potential interactions with other medications prescribed by other providers. Dr. Padilla earned his Doctorate in Clinical Practice Nursing from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. He also holds bachelor’s degrees from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and the University of Miami, as well as an associate’s degree from Bergen Community College.
