Welcome to my virtual office. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 3 years of experience. I specialize in in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe, trusting space where meaningful healing can take root.

At Quiet Harbor Counseling, I provide an identity-affirming, non-judgmental refuge for adults navigating complex sexual trauma, process/sexual addictions, and severe dissociation (including DID). Drawing on high-level clinical expertise from my background with clinical director responsibilities in residential care, I specialize in helping clients process deep relational wounds and untangle compulsive patterns. My practice is a safe space for neurodivergent minds (ADHD/Autism) and the LGBTQ+ community to completely drop the mask and regain their footing.

I licensed professional board certified psychotherapist, and certified trauma therapist that believes in meeting clients where they are. Nathan Starr has worked as a counselor and instructor for years and is currently completing his pre-doctoral internship, and is supervised by Dr. Jennifer Williams, #37608. In an era where mental wellness is foundational to living a fulfilling life, Nathan, is dedicated to offering a transformative, person-centered approach to mental health care. He has an established track record of working with individuals of all genders, and various ages, specializing in both individual and group counseling, while providing a safe, inclusive space for diverse clients to heal, grow, and thrive. He appreciates the chance to partner with his clients to identify and accomplish their goals. He believes in honoring every person’s humanity, dignity, personal story, and journey. He does this by showing up for them and walking with them on their journey towards purpose, wholeness, and fulfillment.

My passion has always been helping marriages, families, and relationship. For the past 20+ years, I have specialized in marital relationships, helping people to build the relationships that they truly desire.

I've been a practitioner in the state of Texas for more than 30 years. I've worked in private practice, with CPS, provided services for drug and alcohol addiction, worked as a teacher and crisis counselor in public schools, and served as a Military Family Life Counselor. My graduate work was completed at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I reside in a tiny town on the northern edge of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
