You've already taken the first brave step in your journey to healing. My areas of specialization are life transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I practice from a whole person perspective and am certified in ketamine assisted psychotherapy.
Dr. Victoria Benson, DNP, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC, is a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) with 17 years of experience in health care and 4 years of experience in psychiatry treatments.
Judith enjoys working with diverse groups and people from different cultures. She practices improving mental wellness and quality of life for her patients. She treats children, adolescents, and adults ages twelve and above. Judith is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and a 2022 graduate of University of Texas at Arlington. As your therapist, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment to help you heal. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stress, trauma, personality disorders and other mental health issues. I currently provide services to clients 18 years and older. I have experience in working with individuals, couples and families. I serve the LBGTQ+ community, young adults, college students, and older adults.
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My role isn’t to tell you what to do—it’s to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, work through life’s challenges, and build the confidence and skills to move forward. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and strengths-based techniques, but I also believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship we build together.
Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. With younger children, that may look like play-based therapy. With teens and adults, it often feels like a comfortable conversation where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use in everyday life.
