I specialize in working with children, aged 6 through 18, and adults facing diverse challenges. I have a specialty in working with individuals facing life transitions, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, grief/loss, perinatal/postpartum, confidence building, trauma, and social skills building.
I am a Professional Mental Health Therapist/ Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing telehealth services throughout Minnesota and in-person therapy in Brainerd. I work with adolescents ages 10+ and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-esteem challenges. My approach integrates EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic therapy, and evidence-based practices to support healing and lasting change.

I hold a master's degree in Addictions and Rehabilitation Counseling and am a license professional clinical counselor in the Minnesota. Before becoming a therapist, I earned my medical degree in Mexico, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the connection between emotional and physical well-being.
Dr. Stiehm received an Educational Doctorate from Argosy University, where the focus of his research was campus safety and security. Dr. Stiehm’s research focused on the less transit population of faculty, and their individual perceptions of safety/security as opposed to the transitional student population, which rotates every 9-12 months at least. Out of his research Dr. Stiehm has published articles and has been interviewed on topics related to campus safety, security and law enforcement. Have over 3yrs experience as a therapist.
