I bring more than 20 years of healthcare experience into my therapy practice, working with individuals and families across cardiology, pediatrics, substance abuse treatment, labor and delivery, discharge planning, and medical-surgical care. I’m naturally people-oriented and believe meaningful healing begins with feeling truly seen and understood. My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by resilience, personal growth, and a deep commitment to helping others navigate life’s challenges with support, compassion, and practical guidance.
Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor with over 15 years of combined experience in individual, couples, conjoint, family, and group psychotherapy across outpatient, inpatient, in-home, and community mental health settings. Proficient in DSM-based assessment, evidence-based treatment planning, crisis intervention, and suicidal/homicidal risk management. I bring with me a working knowledge of human development, family and system interaction. I am committed to culturally competent, trauma-informed care. I hold a PhD in Family Therapy and I am licensed in Texas, New York, Oklahoma, and Michigan.
I am passionate about counseling because I believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they overcome obstacles, rediscover their strengths, and build lives that reflect their values and goals.
Hello. I would describe myself as being kind, caring and full of positive energy. I have 8years of experience working with substance abuse. I have 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated with both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University. I have experience working in schools with middle school and high school. My preference is to work with co-occurring disorders (mental health diagnosis and substance abuse diagnosis).
