Hi, I am Janet! I am focused on supporting clients in healing as they become aware of their inner strengths. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who have experienced trauma, have relationship issues, or suffer from addiction, anxiety, grief, and/or depression. You are not alone.
Change is achieved by providing a safe space to listen without judgment. Then, utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT), which include strategies for identifying and confronting negative thoughts, guided imagery, mindfulness, healthy communication, and positive self-image. These techniques have proven effective in addressing a wide range of struggles.
I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and feelings. I often have clients who have avoided therapy due to stigma or fear of judgment share how comfortable they feel in my sessions. This happens by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to reach your goals.
Whether this is your first time experience with therapy or you’re returning after some time away, my goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing your story at your own pace. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. My approach is compassionate, direct when needed, and focused on helping clients build practical tools for everyday life while also exploring deeper emotional patterns and experiences.
I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, stress, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm.
