Mental health is apart of us all! Jessica Herron is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She started her career as a registered nurse on a progressive coronary unit at age of 21, where she learned mental health is at the core of healing. She obtained her masters degree in 2010, specializing in psychiatric care. She has worked many diverse areas: community, inpatient, crisis, dual diagnosis, detox, emergency room; from children to geriatic and dementia related behaviors. Her passion is to lesson the stigma associated with mental health across the lifespan and normalize a bad day. When she is not serving her community, she enjoys time with her husband and 2 young children; the youngest a heart transplant warrior and indulging in a decadent cupcake.

My mission in therapy is to create a space where clients have the freedom to guide the work towards their goals with a collaborate partner who can assist in the self discovery process. I strive to make therapy feel loving and supportive by providing a place where you can start on the journey to connecting with your inner strength. Self care is important, and therapy is a courageous way to give yourself the care and support you deserve.

I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, from young children to older adults, and have extensive experience supporting clients through depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, personality disorders, and more. My background spans a variety of settings, including outpatient and inpatient care, schools, homes, skilled nursing facilities, and the criminal justice system, allowing me to bring a comprehensive understanding of diverse life experiences and challenges.

These struggles can begin affecting your relationships, family, confidence, and ability to recognize yourself. I provide virtual individual and family therapy in English and Spanish for adolescents, adults, and seniors throughout Florida, with a focus on substance use and addiction, anxiety, depression, anger management, and trauma. I also support clients navigating family and relationship issues, PTSD, grief and loss, stress, major life transitions, women’s issues, maternal mental health, identity concerns, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and eating disorders when these challenges intersect with the primary reasons they seek therapy. My goal is to help you understand what is keeping you stuck, reconnect with your strengths, and develop healthier ways to move forward.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve spent my career supporting children, parents, and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My background includes working in the NICU, early childhood mental health, and supporting families navigating trauma, medical complexity, parenting stress, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.

I am especially passionate about working with women during pregnancy and postpartum, parents, caregivers, and individuals who have spent so much time caring for others that they’ve forgotten how to care for themselves.
