I am incredibly fortunate to have my dream job and feel a sense of fulfillment and pride in my work every day. I know for many of us we do not have that opportunity and have numerous challenges that prevent us from feeling fulfillment, happiness or stability, which can cause immense distress that may be due to anxiety, depression, panic, and feeling lost in general among other complex emotions.
Hello, I'm Lindsay Shelton. I have worked in the mental health field since 2017, beginning my career in crisis services supporting individuals and families through challenging seasons of life. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake and my Master of Education from Lamar University. I have a passion for supporting women and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, infertility, maternal mental health, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered.
Welcome! I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life.
My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or have struggled with symptoms for years, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.
I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy and lifestyle recommendations.
My philosophy is simple: Every person deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given the tools to thrive. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, open communication, and a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
It is a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to partnering with you to help you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve lasting emotional wellness.
Life is a Journey. On this Journey we're faced with many twists & turns. My practice style is collaborative in nature. It focuses on joint commitment to change. Yet eclectic enough to incorporate different approaches that will help clients as they write and re-write their stories to transform their reality. Whether you are looking to address LGBTQ issues, individual therapy, family or couples therapy, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, addictions, depression or other mental health issues.
Greetings, I am a therapist in private practice for over fifteen years. I am dually licensed as a mental health therapist and an addictions therapist.
