Hi my name is Cordell Spears, and I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in helping people with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, culture/identity specific issues and issues related to neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism). I am trained as a generalist thus I am equipped to treat most issues that clients bring in. I also write gender reassignment surgery letters. In addition, I am Houstonian through and through even though I lived in the Chicagoland area for over a decade. I am an avid dog lover and gamer who also likes to be active and exercise.

I am a licensed psychologist with over fifteen years of experience providing therapy in both Spanish and English. I earned my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Indiana University and my doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My doctoral program emphasized multicultural competence and using research to inform practice. Therefore, I use an evidence-based, cultural and trauma-informed approach in therapy. I have worked with Veterans, women and men diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, women diagnosed with breast cancer, and individuals experiencing substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I am licensed in the states of Texas and Iowa.

Sarah is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. Sarah works with adolescents and adults. She focuses on anxiety and relationships. Sarah utilizes a wide variety of evidenced based practices in her sessions. She has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from The University of Alabama and her Masters in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas.

UT Tyler graduate with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022. I've seen clients ranging from age 11 to 72. I completed my internship at Smith County Probation for two semesters and have been working at HopeLink Counseling, a group private practice, for over 3 years.

I see therapy as a space for truth-telling, reclaiming your parts, and learning how to stay present with your life... even the parts you wish you could fast forward through.

I have worked in a variety of setting including crisis hotlines, high schools and mental health community centers. I have worked with a wide range of age groups and backgrounds. I help my clients identify the issues, create understanding and find meaningful solutions to the issues clients bring into therapy.

My focus has been on helping people cope with trauma, physical, sexual or emotional. I graduated from Texas Tech in 2015 with my master's in Community Mental Health Counseling.
