I am a licensed clinical social worker with 28 years of experience partnering with adolescents, adults of all ages and families. I am bilingual so I offer therapy in english and spanish.
Starting therapy can often make people feel nervous and unsure about what to expect. I understand how hard it is to trust a stranger with such personal thoughts and feelings. I have been working to help others create a safe and productive space to share and grow since 2013.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be yourself without judgment. I work with teens and adults across the lifespan, with particular experience supporting clients as they navigate anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and the challenges that come with change. My background in education has given me a deep understanding of the pressures people face at different stages of life, while my counseling training allows me to support clients in finding greater clarity, confidence, and balance. I strive to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and collaborative, while helping clients recognize their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
I received both my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been in private practice for more than 10 years. Prior to private practice, my career began as an inpatient therapist on locked units at psychiatric facilities Cambridge Hospital (currently Sun Behavioral Hospital) and West Oaks Hospital. In addition to my inpatient work at West Oaks Hospital, I was a group facilitator with both adolescents and adults for the outpatient extension of the hospital: The Excel Center. My work at The Excel Center involved daily group therapy in both the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Because of my work with the acute psychiatric population in intensive treatment settings, I am able to work as a generalist practitioner. I work with most issue from depression, anxiety, and OCD to trauma, addiction and relationships struggles... just to name a few.

I've worked with adolescents, couples, and families and I value creating a space where clients feel safe, understood and supported. I'm direct, yet compassionate, and I am not afraid to help you explore the "elephant in the room" so we can get to the root of what's keeping you stuck.
I have over 24 years of experience working with all different age groups and diagnoses. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma to include military, veteran and first responder related experiences. I have years of experience working with PTSD, moral injury and survivor's guilt.
I am a Los Angeles native with a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Social Work, I’ve spent the past 10 years doing work I genuinely love. I bring both real‐world perspective and clinical experience into the therapy space—with a little humor along the way. I’m excited to offer a safe, affirming place where we can process together and work toward your ideal goals.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Postpartum Therapist in Lubbock
Finding postpartum therapists in Lubbock starts with looking for someone who has experience with the concerns that can come up after birth. Postpartum care can include support for postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth-related stress, identity changes, and relationship strain. As you compare therapists, look for listed experience in perinatal mental health or a perinatal mental health certification, often shown as PMH-C. A therapist’s bio can also help you see whether their approach, focus areas, and communication style match what you want from care.
In a mid-size city like Lubbock, local postpartum therapists may offer both in-person and virtual appointments. Virtual care can make it easier to fit sessions around infant care, physical recovery, work schedules, and changing daily routines. Beyond specialty, check whether a therapist is accepting new clients, has appointment times that work for you, and offers a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you compare how each therapist describes their work with new parents and what a first session may include.
Therapy in Lubbock can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for postpartum therapists who match your needs, review their bios, enter your insurance details, and see estimated costs before you book. From there, you can choose a therapist who accepts your plan and book directly when you’re ready.
