Welcome! I am so glad you found me. I am a highly trained therapist who works with children and adolescents ages 3-18 as well as young adults and parents. I received my undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and my Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas. I am an LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have also worked with foster and adoptive children and their families and I am trauma-informed as well having a broad range of experience in education. I have two therapy dogs who often join me in sessions. George is an experienced helper while Charolette is still a puppy in training. I have been working with children for over 20 years.
I love helping people develop skills to improve their lives, communication and relationships. It is important to know that one theory does not meet everyone’s needs, therefore I use many different approaches to helping my clients to build their own best version of themselves.
Counseling is my second career and a profession I genuinely love. My life experiences have shaped who I am as a therapist, allowing me to meet each client’s story with compassion, empathy, and respect. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
I am deeply committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges, heal from painful experiences, and build a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, I will work alongside you with curiosity, authenticity, and care.
I licensed professional board certified psychotherapist, and certified trauma therapist that believes in meeting clients where they are. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! My focus is working with individuals suffering from trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflict, and women's issues.
