Hi, I’m Taylor Avery, an LCSW in Texas, and I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Texas. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My role isn’t to tell you what to do—it’s to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, work through life’s challenges, and build the confidence and skills to move forward. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and strengths-based techniques, but I also believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship we build together.
Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. With younger children, that may look like play-based therapy. With teens and adults, it often feels like a comfortable conversation where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use in everyday life.
