My foundational background with mental health services comes from my experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings with severe mental disorders and substance use/addiction. I am also fluently bilingual in Spanish.

I am licensed in Texas as a clinical social worker and chemical dependency counselor. I earned my master's degree from The University of Kansas in '96. My focus was administration and community mental health. I completed the MSW clinical practicum and seminar so that I can attest to using both sides of my brain.
