Latosha Jackson is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 16 years in mental health care. She has worked in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, and substance use rehab. That breadth means she has met patients at every stage of recovery and is hard to surprise.
She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She also holds dual master's degrees, one in Executive Nursing and one in Psychiatric Mental Health. That training shapes how she thinks about diagnosis and care today.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. My experience includes providing outpatient psychiatric care across the lifespan as well as caring for older adults in assisted living and memory care settings, giving me a broad perspective on mental health across different stages of life. I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related conditions. I work with adolescents ages 13 and older, adults, and older adults who may be struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficulties with focus, mood changes, or the effects of past trauma.
I’ve primarily worked with older adults and people navigating mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and grief, as well as other life challenges. I enjoy getting to know each person and adapting therapy to what feels most helpful for them. I also like bringing humor into sessions when it feels right, helping create a comfortable space where you can be yourself. I welcome LGBTQ+ clients and strive to offer an affirming, positive space.
Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
