Processing loss takes time and the right support. In Detroit, Headway offers grief counseling and therapy for loss of loved ones, including spouse, parent, child, or friend. I earned my bachelors degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and my Master of Social Work degrees from Michigan State University and am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). I also hold a certification in working with combat veterans, providing specialized training in understanding military culture, combat-related trauma, moral injury, reintegration, and the unique experiences that can continue long after service ends. This has also aided me in expanding my practice from veterans and active-duty service members to law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS, and other first responders. Other areas in which I specialize are with individuals working through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other mental health challenges.
I specialize in the treatment of trauma. I also find gratitude to helping others navigate depression, anxiety, PTSD, communication, relationship issues, and family issues. I am EMDR trained.
If you are someone struggling with the above, or you are looking to manage stress in other areas of your life I am here to help!
I specialize in helping individuals break free from fears, worries and stress that hold them back from experiencing true happiness. These fears are often rooted in trauma, loss and other experiences that challenge our ability to work through the pain.
I have my Master's degree in Social Work and have worked with clients for over 30 years. I provide a safe environment in order for you to feel comfortable and work toward your goals.
I listen, provide empathy in a way to make you feel empowered without judgement or negativity.
After years as a bereavement coordinator in hospice care, I have sat with some of life's hardest moments: grief, serious illness, caregiving, and loss. Those experiences showed
me that healing looks different for everyone. My goal is to offer a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard and supported as you build the
confidence to move forward. Whether you are facing grief, anxiety, depression, caregiver stress, or a major life transition, I would be honored to support you on this journey.
