As a licensed mental health clinician, I utilize a combination of evidence-based interventions and genuine compassion, empathy, and belief in growth through the therapy process. My background is in cognitive behavioral therapy, with training in dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I have experience working with teenagers and adults of all ages in addressing struggles related to anxiety, depression, addiction, grief & loss, life transitions, and trauma.
I earned my Bachelor of Nursing from University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) before moving to Boston to start my career in bedside nursing in 2019. After serving as an RN and Director of Nursing at a residential treatment center, I earned my PMHNP at Regis College to specialize in mental health. Since then, I’ve gained diverse experience providing cutting-edge ketamine therapy in outpatient clinics and managing complex cases in inpatient psychiatry. Now, I’m bringing that clinical expertise—along with post-graduate training in CBT—to my full-time private practice, where I provide comprehensive, compassionate care for patients navigating anxiety, depression, OCD and ADHD in the South Boston area.
You know what you want to accomplish, but getting started or staying on track can feel harder than it should. Whether you're managing ADHD, anxiety, panic attacks, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, I'm here to help you understand what's getting in the way and build strategies that work in your everyday life. I work with adults 18+ and provide a supportive, affirming space where you can gain insight, strengthen your confidence, and make meaningful, lasting changes.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Music Therapist (MT-BC), with over 20 years of formal music experience and 6 years of counseling experience, serving clients all over MA. I have worked with clients of all ages and diagnoses and specialize in treating adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse through a client-centered and trauma-informed lens.
I combine music therapy and counseling approaches, individually tailored, to help build resilience and make clients feel more in control of their own lives.
If you have ever held onto a secret out of fear, felt isolated in your pain, or put your own needs aside for the comfortability of others...please know you are not alone. Together, we can build on the strength within to create a life that doesn't need escape.
I do Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy. I currently facilitate a Bereavement Group which meets at my Brookline office every Saturday from 2-4pm. I also run groups for substance abuse, depression and anxiety. In addition, I have a lot of experience counseling children of all ages. I am a firm believer in strength-based psychotherapy.
It takes two to speak the truth: one to speak, and another to hear - Thoreau
I strive to help clients by being curious, kind, reliable, and insightful. This is how I believe therapy helps people to grow, and to ultimately feel better about themselves and their lives.
I primarily work through a psychodynamic lens, focusing on a client's emotional life, exploring connections between a client's past and present, and addressing internal conflicts. I also use ideas found in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy such as exploring thought patterns and negative core beliefs.
I am an experienced therapist helping individual clients cope with addictions, trauma, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I also work with couples on common struggles such as conflict resolution, lack of connection, and reduced physical intimacy. I use evidence-based methods enabling clients to achieve their desired goals.
