I work with adults and teens who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, trauma, or life stress and feel stuck despite trying to cope alone. Others seek clarity around symptoms or support during major life transitions. Children and adolescents may struggle with emotional regulation, attention, mood changes, or behavioral concerns. Often, individuals or parents want relief and a clear path forward with a provider who listens and helps them feel more balanced, focused, and hopeful.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy using an evidence-based, holistic approach. I believe mental health is about more than managing symptoms—it's about improving your overall quality of life and helping you thrive.
My clients often describe me as warm, humorous, open-minded, energetic, and easy to talk to. I also believe in being direct, honest, and solution-oriented because I know that meaningful growth comes from combining compassion with practical strategies. I enjoy helping people recognize their strengths, build resilience, and develop skills they can use long after our sessions.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. Working in the field for 24 years has opened my eyes and ears to many experiences. While your life experience is unique, we will work together to find ways to get you to your best life. I have worked in a hospital setting, inpatient mental health, outpatient mental health, PHP, IOP, Dual Diagnosis, rehab, residential treatment and community settings to a variety of clients in various backgrounds.
Building my own practice has been about creating a space where every client feels genuinely welcomed. With clinical experience across settings that have served people from all walks of life, I bring real warmth and dedication to each session. I see myself as a partner in your care, not just a provider. My goal is a practice where diverse clients feel seen and supported, where your autonomy matters as much to me as it does to you.
I bring empathy, humor, and a down-to-earth style to create a space where you can feel safe, seen, and truly yourself. Therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a script. I value connection and will support you with compassion—while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and help you move forward.
I received my Master’s of Art in School Counseling from Loyola University in May 2000 and I am currently a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland .
