Hello, My name is Dr. Danielle Lefort! I am a licensed marriage, couples, and family counselor who specializes in relationships. I have spent the last 12 years studying what healthy relationships look like and ways to incorporate healthy experiences in ways that change lives for the better. When I started undergrad at LSU, I always knew I wanted to pursue a private practice in therapy. I completed my MSW at LSU to later achieve my license in clinical social work. I was fortunate to serve in many different settings (healthcare, schools, families, etc.) where I found a common concern in all of them- the need for therapy.

Now that I am in this position working with individuals in therapy, I don't take for granted the unique opportunity I have with each client I get to work with.

I am a lifelong resident of South Louisiana. I received a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and Master’s in Social Work from LSU in 2010. I spent two years in England working in child protection before returning home. Though I consider my background in working with children and families, I currently enjoy helping clients of all ages facilitate the change that they desire to better their own lives. In 2016, I received my LCSW and began working in clinical practice.

As your therapist, my primary commitment is to help you succeed in the ways that matter to you. Together, we’ll explore your underlying thoughts, feelings, and desires and consider how they may be influencing your life. We’ll look honestly at what is working and what isn’t. I’ll offer insight, guidance, and support while respecting your pace and where you are in the process. Our work will focus on creating meaningful, lasting change that reflects what matters most to you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that’s been practicing in the field of social work for over 25 years.

Educational achievements include obtaining both Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degrees. I have also acquired a Clinical Social Work Licensure.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and pets. I also enjoy traveling, dancing and engaging in outdoor activities.
