Life changes. Sometimes we're ready for it, and sometimes we're not. Maybe you're heading to college, adjusting to a new stage of adulthood, navigating a midlife transition, or realizing the ways you've been coping aren't working anymore. I help adults 18+ work through anxiety, depression, life changes, and substance use concerns while building the confidence and tools to move forward. You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out.
Therapy should feel like a safe place to slow down, be honest and make sense of you are experiencing without judgment.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying grief that feels heavier than expected, struggling with ADHD, or simply trying to make sense of a difficult season in life. Whether you're an adult navigating life's challenges or a child learning how to express big emotions, therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and discover new ways forward.
I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2008 with a Master’s in Education in Counseling and Personnel Services, with a concentration in expressive therapy. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in psychiatric hospitals and community mental health settings, and I now work exclusively in private practice, providing therapy primarily to adults (18+). I specialize in helping individuals heal wounds and reconnect with their most authentic selves.
I believe in the power of connection, presence, and inner wisdom as part of the healing journey. I am a certified Primordial Sound Meditation teacher and integrate mindfulness, meditation, and holistic approaches into my work.
On a personal note, I am an imperfect human with a past full of life lessons, doing the best I can each day. My own journey of healing has given me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of therapy and I am so grateful for my therapist. I enjoy exercise, yoga, meditating, pottery, creative journaling, spending quality time with my daughter and loved ones, spending time in nature, reading, learning, and traveling.
The healing process can be challenging but so worth it! —and the good news is, you don’t have to do it alone. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, presence, and support as you navigate healing, growth, and create a life aligned with your values and purpose.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy or postpartum challenges, or relationship stress, you do not have to navigate it alone. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals and couples feel supported, understood, and empowered during some of life’s most difficult and emotionally overwhelming seasons.
My journey stems from my own story of resilience in the face of hardships. I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people through some of their darkest hours. Being exposed to some dark hours myself, I know that it is difficult to do it alone. When you have someone to confide in, assist you through the hard times, and just let you know that you are not alone, makes a difference.
My therapeutic approach includes CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, SFT, EFT, IFS, and just speaking like a human being. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach is relational and personalized—we'll explore your story together, build coping tools, and move toward healing with curiosity, courage, and care.
Therapy with me is real, down-to-earth, and never boring. I mix honesty, humor, and heart to make the process comfortable. I help adults manage emotions, build confidence, and tackle life's challenges with tools that work. Think of it as a safe space to be yourself, grow, and maybe laugh along the way. I am passionate about improving mental health. My approach to therapy is both caring and compassionate, focused on helping clients identify and address their personal goals.
