I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, relationship stress, trauma, substance use, and the pressure of trying to keep everything inside. Many of the people I work with are tired of bottling things up, reacting in ways they regret, or feeling like life has gotten off track. Some of my clients are trying to rebuild after rock bottom, others are learning that sobriety is just the start and want help creating healthier patterns, stronger relationships, and more stability in daily life. If you are ready for a new pattern, start with me.

I’m passionate about offering compassionate support to individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings—including hospitals, outpatient programs, and corporate environments—where I’ve built meaningful relationships with clients while managing high caseloads. Whether providing short-term counseling, coaching clients through transitions, or supporting employees in enhancing their well-being, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where individuals can address their challenges with understanding and care.
A particular area of focus for me is helping couples strengthen their relationships. I find great fulfillment in guiding them through communication issues, conflicts, and life stressors. I also work with individuals dealing with a range of issues like depression, anxiety, family challenges, and work-related stress, always aiming to help them find balance and self-discovery. Additionally, I have contributed to wellness programs and telehealth services, equipping individuals and leaders with tools to thrive both personally and professionally.
I am dedicated to continuous growth, which is why I’ve pursued additional training in areas like Primary Care Behavioral Health and telehealth technology. This allows me to stay adaptable and ensure the care I provide remains effective and relevant.
In every aspect of my career, I strive to create a safe, open, and understanding space for people to explore their challenges and feel supported on their journey toward wholeness.
I began this journey just seeking to learn about psychology and the nature of human behavior. The more I learned, the more I became fascinated with how resilient humans are in the face of significant challenges. However, what I found was that people will continue to live with underlying pain, because of the stigma previously put on people seeking help with mental health and trauma issues. I found that people created their own ways of coping and it often involved creating more harm. I knew at this time that I wanted to help people begin to face tough emotions and move toward healing the emotional pain.
I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1991 and a Master of Science Degree in General Psychology in 1993 from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS. I later went back for another Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila University in Kansas City, MO in 2014.
I have worked in the areas of domestic violence, at-risk youth, at-risk families, foster and adoption, and addiction. I specialize in working with trauma and addiction.
