I am a clinical psychologist with 15 years of experience in private practice. I specialize in treating adults going through major life events, including trauma, chronic illness, new parenthood, and divorce. I am trained in EMDR treatment for trauma and I am certified in perinatal mental health.

Beginning my practice decades ago as a combat trauma therapist, I have found myself dealing with the traumas of early life and relationships with most my adolescent and adult clients. I believe counseling can offer many “tools”, to cope, however, I prefer to help people heal so that coping becomes an infrequent need.

I received my Masters from Asbury Seminary and my Bachelors from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and have been practicing in the mental health world for 11 years. I have worked in several settings from crisis work with kids and adolescents to individual work with adults to couples counseling.

I hold a master’s degree in nursing with specialized training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management, as well as psychotherapy.

My practice focuses on treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, addiction recovery and perinatal mental health concerns. I integrate a client-centered approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive counseling, and lifestyle interventions alongside medication when appropriate.
