As a professional counselor of over 30 years, with a wide range of life experience, my approach is real. I offer genuine empathy and will meet you where you are.
I create a safe place for you to share, explore and freely express your struggles.
I specialize in various areas and modalities. I value my relationship with you and believe that a trusting relationship is essential to the healing process. I will assist you with identifying and processing unresolved issues/grief/trauma utilizing psychotherapy techniques and methods. And help you overcome thoughts/behavior which are hindering your growth.
I look forward to having the opportunity to join you on your personal journey.
I am an LCSW with a mission to untangle trauma and transform lives.
I've observed that many are unaware their struggles stem from unresolved childhood trauma. I focus on addressing core beliefs formed during these transformative years.
As I too struggled with unhealthy patterns of my past. Hitting rock bottom was my turning point. I immersed myself in retreats and inner child work, finding strength in spirituality. Healing myself and paying it forward to help others heal too.
Therapy with me is very human and genuine. I don’t just focus on what’s painful or stuck but help to highlight the ways in which my clients overcome life's punches. While I take this work seriously, I believe laughter can be healing and disarming in therapy.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Florida International University and have worked in a variety of settings, including the foster care system, residential treatment, and community mental health. My background includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, persistent mental health conditions, substance use, eating disorders, and major life transitions. I’ve also worked with veterans, individuals who are unhoused, and LGBTQIA2S+ clients.
In my practice, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also support clients with PTSD, some OCD presentations, and concerns related to gender, sexuality, and queer identity. My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and rooted in helping clients feel both emotionally safe and genuinely understood.
I’m Lyz Eidam, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, Panic, Mood Disorders, OCD, PTSD, Grief, Stress, and challenges related to life changes.
Building a mental health practice means building relationships, and I take that seriously. My work is rooted in understanding your full story, not just your diagnosis. Whether you're navigating anxiety, working through depression, or processing trauma, I bring genuine curiosity and a collaborative spirit to every session. I work with adults via telehealth, which means care on your schedule and in your own space. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more grounded and more equipped to move forward.
I am happy to say that I have a very full schedule. I am sad to say that I am not accepting new clients at this time. I am happy to speak with you and refer to a trusted provider if you like.
I'm a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) offering compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents, adults, and older adults. If you're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or trauma-related concerns — or simply feeling unlike yourself — you'll be met with compassion, never judgment.
With more than 16 years of clinical experience (7 of them in psychiatry), I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnosis, medication management, and individualized treatment plans built around your unique needs and goals. My background spans outpatient private practice, telepsychiatry, and inpatient geriatric behavioral health, so I'm able to support people across a wide range of life stages and concerns.
At Nurelevate, I believe mental wellness is about more than managing symptoms — it's about helping you rediscover balance, build resilience, and thrive with confidence. I'm honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
