I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapist (TF-CBT), and Qualified Supervisor (QS) for the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in 1997 from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the field of Psychology. In 2001, I graduated with Honors from Webster University with my Master’s degree in Counseling.
I started my career in 1995 as a Behavior Specialist, working with children and their families. After 10 years of dedicating my time to this population, I ventured out into the unchartered territory of addiction; specifically substance abuse and eating disorder. Since 2014, when I am not providing therapy locally, I travel as a Military & Family Life Counselor (MFLC); serving our military families on military installations; in the US and abroad. In 2022, I became certified as a Yoga Teacher and Social Emotional Learning Facilitator.
I work with adults who are navigating loss, life, transitions, and moments, when things no longer feel stable or familiar. Many of my clients are high functioning, thoughtful people who are used to caring for others, holding things together, or pushing through – until something shifts and the usual strategies stop working.
My approach is relational, trauma informed, and grounded in compassion. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, respected, and understood. Sessions are collaborative and paste with care, balancing emotional exploration with practical tools to help you, cope, regain clarity, and move forward with intention.
With the background of medical social work, I have extensive experience supporting individuals, facing illness, grief, caregiver stress, and major life changes. I also work with anxiety, depression, relationship, concerns, and the emotional impact of long-term stress or unresolved trauma. I pay close attention to the nervous system, attachment patterns, and the way past experience, the shape present reactions – while staying focused on what feels important to you right now.
Client often describe me a steady, intuitive, and thoughtful. I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental – where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or have it all figured out. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a pace to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin making meaningful change.
I am a dedicated professional committed to helping clients achieve their goals through personalized support and evidence-based approaches. My focus is on creating a comfortable, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel heard. All are welcome and understood.
