Welcome. Seeking support can feel difficult, especially when you're managing overwhelming emotions, relationship stress, painful experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from the life you want to live. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, bipolar disorder, PTSD, women's issues, and challenges related to self-esteem, life transitions, and relationships. I understand that healing looks different for everyone, and I believe therapy should provide a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. Whether you're struggling with day-to-day stress, navigating the impact of past experiences, or trying to make sense of difficult emotions, my goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and build a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling. Together, we can create meaningful change while honoring your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach combines evidence-based practices with genuine human connection to help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking greater clarity, I provide a supportive environment where healing and growth can occur.
I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from Central Michigan University. I have worked in hospital settings as well as private practice. I have had great success with the virtual format and am thankful for such ease for my clients to have sessions without the trouble of travel. I work primarily with teens and women, working to build skills to manage a variety of snuggles.
Did you know that everything is working in your favor?! Struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood changes that make everyday life feel heavy? You don't have to figure it out alone. I'm Dr. Denise Williams, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and over 14 years of experience in psychiatry. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for teens (12+) and adults through convenient, 100% virtual telehealth visits.
I help clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, grief, and stress. I have a special interest in women's mental health, and I'm deeply honored to work with veterans and their unique experiences.
My background in psychiatric crisis stabilization and correctional mental health taught me to meet every person where they are, with no judgment. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, races, and cultures, because culturally humble, affirming care is essential, not optional.
You may have learned to navigate spaces where parts of you didn’t feel fully seen or accepted. Over time, those experiences can shape how you see yourself.
What is the story you tell yourself? What messages have you taken in from others—and from the world around you? How have those shaped the way you see yourself?
For many people, these stories are formed in spaces where parts of them felt unseen, misunderstood, or not fully accepted. Over time, this can lead to cycles of self-doubt, shame, or feeling like you have to keep proving your worth.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience helping adults and couples navigate relationship difficulties, trauma and PTSD, and women’s and maternal mental health. I have a special interest in infertility and TTC, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, postpartum concerns, and the transition to motherhood. I also work extensively with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and major life transitions.
