You may be feeling overwhelmed, no matter what you do, the memories, tension, or sense of unease just won’t let up. Maybe you’re on edge, easily startled, or finding it hard to relax. Perhaps you feel numb or detached from the people you care about—or the past keeps intruding on your present through flashbacks, nightmares, or sudden waves of emotion. If you’re exhausted by the weight of trauma, distressing memories, or emotional disconnection, you are not alone. I work with adolescents, adults, and families to navigate the effects of trauma, post-traumatic stress, and emotional pain with compassion and clarity.
Greetings! I’m Dr. Tomasa Villaronga, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a passion for helping women heal, grow, and thrive. I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling in 2015. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and across a variety of settings, including substance abuse treatment, faith-based programs, and organizations serving men, women, single mothers, and children.I later earned my Doctorate in Strategic Leadership, which expanded my understanding of the importance of mental health and wellness in a leader's life.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. I want to walk alongside you and help to empower you. Together, we find hope.
I am dedicated to the mental health field and have been both a therapist and a clinical supervisor. My areas of knowledge include trauma, depression, grief, anxiety, adjustment disorder, substance abuse, ADHD, self-esteem issues, and life transition difficulties. I work with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families.
I love helping others overcome mental obstacles to allow them to reach their goals. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship and use it as a catalyst for positive change. I have over 8 years of experience in private practice and have helped people through a wide range of issues. I have unique experience in sport and performance psychology. I have two post undergraduate degrees in mental health counseling from Indiana University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Butler University. I bring my knowledge, experience, and value system to each of my clients.
