Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve tried therapy before and felt like it didn’t quite click. My approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we learn new ways of thinking, behaving, and relating to our emotions—not just talking about them.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a trauma-informed lens, specializing in addiction, women’s issues, adolescents, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience supporting parents and individuals impacted by a loved one’s substance use, including navigating boundaries, codependency, burnout, and complicated emotions such as guilt, fear, and grief.
I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel accepted, understood, and gently challenged to grow. Many clients tell me they appreciate that our work goes beyond listening alone—we focus on learning practical skills and applying them to real-life situations.
I also have a background in Christianity and am comfortable integrating faith and spirituality into therapy when desired by the client. I respect each person’s beliefs and values and approach spiritual topics with openness, curiosity, and sensitivity.
My focus is helping clients regain a sense of balance and Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and exploring your options for counseling support. I have been a counselor since 2004 and work with young adults, adults, and parents. There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to therapy, so I like to work collaboratively with my clients to find a plan that meets their strengths and goals. Some of my passions are helping people understand and regulate their nervous system so they can be more present, engaged, and connected in their lives. I pull from mindfulness and self-compassion based approaches along with yoga, DBT, brainspotting, listening therapies, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I look forward to connecting with you. After 15 years in this field, I know how much lighter life can feel with the right support, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teenagers and older and I believe that the therapeutic relationship is vital to the success of therapy. I have years of experience working with children, teenagers and young adults, focusing on anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma. My approach is to be open-minded, compassionate, supportive and encouraging with an end goal to help you develop the coping skills or address the issue to be able to navigate life to its fullest. My goal is to challenge you while offering a non-judgmental space for you to process feelings and discover your inner self.
I earned my graduate degree in Social Work at the University of South Carolina and my undergraduate at Iowa State University in Child Adult and Family Studies and Psychology. My background includes years in settings working with at-risk youth, school social work and more recently in person at an equine therapy agency working with teenagers and adults.
