Hello. My name is Khamnga Sengmany, licensed clinical social worker. I have been working as a social worker for 30+ years and as a therapist for over seven years. I have experiences with assisting clients work through a range of problems including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, loss and grief, work-related stress, life transitions.
Life is hard, but these days, it feels even harder. It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed to the point of feeling stuck. This can lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, guilt, and even hopelessness. You may even judge yourself for feeling stuck or struggling. My hope is to help you get unstuck, connect to yourself, and feel excited about your life.
You might have experienced childhood trauma, a distressing single event and/or are overwhelmed by society's impossible demands placed on mothers or with being a neurodivergent brain in our neurotypical-dominant society. You might look like you have it all together (or not!); but either way, are overwhelmed and discouraged. You might be confused, dissociating, or have no idea how you feel.
Come as you are. However you are. You are so welcomed here.
You can experience wellness within even in the midst of your past (or present) circumstances.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, certified in Spiritual Guidance and Expressive Art, with a multi-cultural background. I bring a warm, person-centered approach to my practice. I have a passion for working with older adults, especially those navigating life transitions, and I offer therapy in Farsi, Turkish, and English. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood.
I believe the best work happens when you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself—no pressure, no judgment, and no need to have everything figured out before you start. We’ll work together to explore what’s bringing you in, what matters most to you, and what you’d like to change or better understand.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. Each person is different, so our work will be tailored to your needs, your goals, and your pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, going through a transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, I’m here to help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and authentic.
