I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I obtained by Associates degree in Nursing at Penn Valley College in Kansas City Missouri in 2001. I completed my Masters of Science in Psychiatric nursing in 2020. I have 23 years of nursing experience in a variety of areas, both medical and neuro-psychiatry. I have experience with young adults to geriatric populations.

I am a dual Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in AZ and also WA state.

I have been a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 13 years and have practiced in multiple areas. I have 3 years of MAT experience and am board-certified as a Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have always had a special interest in mental health and psychology. I can relate to people and listen to their concerns in a very empathetic manner.

I have my MA in Counseling from Kean University in NJ. I started my career in 2007 as a tech and in 2023 I opened my private practice. My focus is working with trauma and co-occurring symptoms. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Integrated Mental Health Professional.

I have many years of experience in the counseling field and care deeply for every patient. I have training in Trauma and PTSD as well as OCD. I have experience with crises work and Dealing with Addiction and sexual behaviors. I deal a lot with issues around esteem and depression and anxiety.

My approach to care integrates psychotherapy with medication management. I provide therapy for patients whose psychiatric medications I also manage, allowing for a coordinated and personalized treatment plan that supports both emotional and medical aspects of mental health.

With over 20 years of experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and now as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am deeply committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My approach integrates physical and mental health to support the whole person.

Shireen has over 25 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse, both in community behavioral health and in private practice settings. She has two Master's degrees - one in Professional Counseling and the other in HR, with a specialization in Substance Abuse. Shireen holds two independent licenses (LPC, LISAC) with the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. She has extensive experience working with individuals and families from many diverse backgrounds and cultures.
