I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals and families of various ages. With my skill set I help clients navigate depression, anxiety, postpartum, family stress, intimate partner violence, crisis interventions, major life transitions and so much more. I provide therapy services and specialize in conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments for individuals seeking mental health evaluation, diagnosis, and support. Helping individuals gain a clearer understanding of their mental health through comprehensive evaluations. I help individuals gain a clearer understanding of their mental health through comprehensive evaluations.
Using clinical diagnostic tools, I evaluate presenting symptoms and provide accurate diagnoses. I gather detailed background information and use evidence-based diagnostic methods to determine the most clinically appropriate diagnosis. During the assessment process, I draw from structured interviews, standardized measures, and clinical observation to gain a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning. Once the diagnostic evaluation is complete, I provide appropriate referrals tailored to each client’s needs—whether that includes specialized therapy/treatment, psychiatry for medication management/evaluation, or other supportive services. I am committed to helping clients access the right level of care and begin a treatment plan that aligns with their goals, symptoms, and long-term well-being.
Whether I am working with clients navigating life transitions or partnering with UA to support elite athletes and students, my goal is to help you meet your challenges with more kindness and resilience.
I bring specialized clinical training in self-compassion and grief to our sessions.
I am Certified in Self Compassion in Psychotherapy and a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, trained by the Center for Mindful Self Compassion. I am a certified Grief Educator trained by David Kessler.
I received my Masters in Social Work from The University of Alabama, rtr, and my BLA in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University .
When life feels heavy, it’s easy to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the version of yourself you want to be.
I help individuals navigate depression, anxiety, life stress, and major transitions while building confidence and clarity. I offer in-person sessions in Tennessee and telehealth for clients in both Tennessee and Alabama.
Do you feel constantly on edge, emotionally drained or stuck in relationship patterns that keep repeating? Is your teen overwhelmed by big emotions and not sure how to cope?
Anxiety and depression don't just affect our thoughts—they can keep our nervous systems in survival mode, impacting our relationships, our patience, and the way we see ourselves.
I work with Alabama adults and teens to slow things down, understand patterns like attachment or codependency, and build real tools for boundaries, emotional steadiness and healthier relationships. My style is warm, practical, nonjudgemental, and down to earth.
I like to work off of the principle based on a quote by Zora Neal Hurston: " If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.". I believe that healing comes from giving your pain a voice and finding healthy ways to cope and explore who you have become through the pain. Healing in and of itself can be painful, but finding supportive and safe community can help ease some of the discomfort. I believe in therapy because I invested in therapy for myself for several years- I know the benefit of having someone to walk in the darkness with you.
I specialize in Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, identity/LGBTQIA+ concerns, ADHD, and relationship/couples issues.
