Psychotherapy provides a safe place to discuss fears, thoughts, and difficult decisions we as humans must make during our journey in life. I believe we are capable of making life changes with the right tools. I am here to listen without judgement. I believe we all have a story to share. Being heard is one of the most important aspects of communication.
My passion is working with clients who have experienced some form of trauma in their lives. By sharing your story, we can begin to process the trauma from experience to a new understanding, while remaining in the present.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a career that began around 2008. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Social Work. My background includes supporting adults with developmental disabilities, counseling at-risk youth, and working in psychiatric residential treatment, crisis care, hospital case management, and forensic mental health. I have also served as Director of Services for a youth crisis residential program, a sheriff’s deputy, and a military police officer.
Currently, I serve as a Lead Therapist in inpatient psychiatry, providing assessments, individualized treatment planning, and therapeutic support for people experiencing acute and complex mental health concerns. I collaborate with the treatment team to support stabilization and continuity of care and take on leadership responsibilities as needed.
I also provide outpatient therapy to military members and their families, drawing on my own military experience. Across my work, I help clients build coping skills, strengthen daily functioning, and move toward meaningful goals. I offer telehealth sessions throughout Washington.
Hello! I’m Maureen, a Vanderbilt-trained PMHNP who is passionate about providing high-quality care to people from all walks of life. Hi, I’m Kristin, a compassionate licensed therapist passionate about helping people heal from life’s toughest experiences while rediscovering joy and lightness along the way. With 15 years of experience in mental health counseling, I am licensed in both Washington and New York State. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and respected. I specialize in trauma and PTSD integration, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and building emotional resilience—especially for those navigating complex past experiences. I bring warmth, empathy, and a great sense of humor to every session because laughter can be a powerful ally in healing—it helps lighten the load, build trust, and remind us that hope and humanity coexist even in hard times. Whether you’re in the Pacific Northwest dealing with burnout or deeper wounds, I’m here to support you with genuine care and gentle humor toward greater freedom and connection.
I enjoy learning about ways we can change and understand our human existence. We are thinking, feeling and doing beings. Cognitive behavioral therapy provides a framework to identify ways to do it differently and better. Trauma treatment modalities like EMDR may support processing neurological and physiological reactions and being able to feel secure and safe while staying connected to others more fully. Our story is just that; we write it and edit it. We get to choose the chapters and path of our lives, through the unknowns, mysteries and celebrations.
I'm a social worker by nature and a therapist by trade. Within my work in different social services, I found my passion for therapy (for over 9 years now!) My areas of focus include LGBTQIAA+ issues, intersectional identities, intimate partner violence, processing trauma, substance use, and managing mood disorders. My practice is sex-positive, identity-affirming, and based in concepts of social justice.

Feeling stressed and overwhelmed lately? Or struggling with depression or anxiety for as long as you can remember? Everyone might be dealing with something different. My job is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for your pain to be seen. I hope you will feel safe to talk about everything in this space. I believe that psychotherapy, at its core, should be a healing relationship. Through this relationship, you can slowly learn to experience your life a little differently.
