Hi, I'm Kimberly. I work with adults carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use, often alongside each other. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I draw on my clinical background to help you understand what you're bringing into each session and build goals that fit your life. I'd love to be part of your next step forward.
I am licensed in Virginia with 13 years of professional work experience. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over eight years of experience providing therapy in both English and Spanish. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, specializing in trauma, stress, and depression.
I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you build insight, develop coping skills, and move toward meaningful change.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult time or working through past experiences, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Hi, I’m Marlane.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. I provide a safe, supportive space for individuals and families navigating stress, trauma, emotional challenges, and substance use concerns.
With over five years of experience supporting clients in crisis, I use a collaborative approach tailored to your unique needs. Through evidence-based approaches such as CBT and trauma-focused CBT, we will work together to build coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen communication, and create meaningful change.
My goal is to help you feel empowered, resilient, and confident as you move forward.
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong before reaching out. Most people I work with start with a sense that something is off, or that they've been managing on their own for too long. That's enough to begin. I work with adults and adolescents facing trauma, depression, and substance use, which are often more connected than they look from the outside. Figuring out how they fit together is part of our work. I'm patient and fairly direct, and I keep a sense of humor in the room. Clients often tell me they don't feel rushed or judged with me, and that matters more to the work than any single technique.
Dr. Rivera employs an integrative style that focuses on the individual's sleep, diet, physical and mental fitness. He enjoys working in particular with weight loss, men's wellness, de-prescription from psychotropic medications, and detox from long-term substance use: tobacco, alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines. Furthermore, he specializes in the diagnosis and management of attention, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders.
As a therapist, I believe in your story and your individual experience. A space that is safe, comfortable, & free of judgement is essential for your success. It is important that you are in control of your own therapeutic experience, and I believe my role as a therapist is to serve as a guide & emotional support for you through your own journey. To provide a more authentic process and promote psycho-education, I aim to actively engage with you through discussions and person-centered support. “Pain is real, but so is hope”, and that is the main goal of my therapeutic approach: instill hope.
