I’m Destiny Parker, a counselor, educator, and wellness advocate who believes healing happens when people feel seen, safe, and supported as their full selves.

In my clinical work, I support individuals who are managing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the lingering effects of trauma. I have a particular passion for working with educators, caregivers, and helping professionals who often prioritize everyone else while quietly carrying their own emotional load. I also work with adolescents and young adults as they navigate self-esteem, peer relationships, identity exploration, and emotional resilience.

Hi, I’m Shakira, a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals and romantic partners dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, and the impact of past trauma. I use practical tools mixed with deeper healing approaches to help you feel more at ease and confident in yourself. Therapy with me is about having a safe space where you don’t have to carry it all alone.

I received my Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, a clinically focused school with significant access to psychological and medical training. I transitioned to private practice in 2018 in order to allow for deeper work with clients. I enjoy working with clients on a variety of issues, but identity, meaning-making, and life transitions are of particular interest.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 9 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult transitions. My practice specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, with a deep focus on the unique cultural and emotional challenges of immigrant life. I am dedicated to helping clients resolve relational issues and heal from past wounds, providing a compassionate and expert-led path toward emotional resilience and a more fulfilling life.

In 2019, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and in 2022, I obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Both were from Texas A&M International University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas. I am also a Substance Abuse Professional and an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. In my approach in therapy, I work collaboratively with my clients to evaluate your unique needs and provide an evidence-based approach so as to reach your treatment goals. I firmly believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery and I will walk alongside you in this journey towards creating a meaningful life.

Hi! I’m Vanessa! I’m a wife, Mom and entrepreneur. I’m also a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in integrative psychiatry and women’s mental health. I run a niche mental health clinic called Kavah Wellness Psychiatry. I hold a bachelors degree, two masters degree and a doctor of nursing practice degree. I have almost a decade of experience in the mental health sector. I love everything mental health!
