I'm Lina, and I'm passionate about empowering individuals on their journey to healing and growth. With a diverse background in hospital social work, outpatient mental health services, and inpatient psychiatric care, I have gained invaluable experience and insights that enable me to support a wide range of clients facing emotional and mental health challenges.

Accepting new patients. I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Holsan Behavioral Health who provides medication management with psychotherapy to ages six and older. I offer in-person appointments in Raleigh, NC, and telehealth services across the state of North Carolina. I specialize in attention difficulties, behavioral challenges, mood challenges, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, sleep, military issues, and trauma.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I have been a counselor for more than 30 years. I remain passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and believe that genuine caring is an essential element to an effective counseling relationship. Over the years I have worked with clients with significant trauma and loss. I consider it a privilege to stand with another individual as he or she resolves great pain. I specialize in treating clients with trauma, relationship issues, and borderline personality disorder.

I help people carrying trauma, grief, or the weight of sexual abuse find steady ground again. For over two decades I've supported survivors of abuse and their families, walked alongside people through grief, bereavement, and the hardest parts of death and dying, and helped clients manage PTSD and personality disorders using a strengths-based approach. I trained at the University of Montana and Portland State University, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon. I have a world class education, but there is more to me than that: There have been many iterations of "Alan" over the long years of my life. There is the drug addict that has walked the clean and sober path for 33 years. There is the truck driver and the tattoo artist, the husband (married 31 years), the father, the grandfather, the great grandfather, the foster father, the step-father.
