Whether you are in a place of uncertainty and desperation or hoping to reach your utmost potential, I congratulate you for making this step in taking control of your life and facing your challenges. Every individual, whether you are a parent, student, professional, athlete or performer, endures pain or confusion at some point in life. As a professional support to you, I feel privileged to assist you, without judgement, in reclaiming a life of peace and control that you so rightly deserve.
My specialty is "trauma", which is a broad term. Any experience that leaves you feeling unsafe, confused, insecure or unloved can be traumatic. I work with sexual abuse, violent and workplace trauma, natural disasters, infidelity and all the anxieties that may come with trying to cope with these issues.
I use an eclectic approach because no one modality fits every person and every situation. I use psychotherapy techniques, cognitive behavior therapy, hypnosis and EMDR. I also continually attend conferences to stay current with the best and newest forms of treatments.
Hi, I’m Julia, and I’m passionate about helping people find strength, clarity, and balance in their lives. I’ve been working in the field for over twenty years, with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and parents through life’s many transitions. I’m a graduate of Columbia University, where I focused on working with children and families. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients from many different backgrounds as they work through both everyday stress and life’s biggest challenges.
I believe the structure of the therapeutic relationship can help people access their inner strengths and promote meaningful change. Therapy gives us space to pause, reflect, and make sense of how the different parts of our lives — our relationships, health, identity, and environment — impact our well-being. Together, we’ll sort through challenges, set realistic goals, and develop strategies that help you feel more grounded and empowered.
My path to psychotherapy is anything but conventional. I began my career as a scientist and then a high school science teacher, where a deep curiosity about the world took root. But it was the human connection, the conversations, the stories, that truly lit me up. That led me to Columbia University, where I earned my Master's in Social Work and gained invaluable clinical experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After graduation, I worked in hospice care, walking alongside families through some of life's most profound and challenging moments, an experience that gave me a deep respect for human resilience and the power of being truly heard. After welcoming my three children, I took everything I had learned and channelled it into opening my own private practice. Today, that is where my heart lives. I am endlessly inspired by the people I get to meet, the life stories they share, and the privilege of watching them grow. Whatever has brought you here, I would love to hear your story too.
Hello and welcome! I have been assisting clients with navigating some of the most difficult stages of life. I have provided services with clients between the ages of 4 and 96. I specialize in aging, grief/loss and life transitions.
Welcome!
Navigating the path to healing can feel daunting, especially for marginalized individuals facing systemic barriers. My mission is to honor and empower your strength and vulnerability as you seek support. Together, we'll create a safe space where you can share your story authentically, free from judgment or criticism. I integrate cultural, racial, and ethnic understanding into our sessions to ensure your unique experiences are respected and validated.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and respected. Then, I work alongside you to help you make sense of what you're experiencing and what you want to change.
I work with adults and adolescents, and I tailor my approach to fit where you are right now, not a template of where you're supposed to be.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or other emotional concerns. Seeking support is a courageous first step, and I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique experiences, identify barriers to well-being, and develop personalized treatment plans that support lasting growth and healing. My approach combines evidence-based practices with genuine empathy, recognizing that every individual's journey is different.
Hi, I’m Jessica, a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, and Certified Clinical Trauma professional, but more importantly a therapist who believes healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. I combine heart, humor, and evidence-based techniques to help you make real, lasting change.
Hello there!
My name is Timothy Dunn, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Central New Jersey. I have been working in the mental health field since 2016, beginning in inpatient treatment, followed by several years as a case manager supporting adults with severe mental illness, and currently practicing in an outpatient setting since 2022.
I serve a diverse population across age, gender, and mental health concerns, with a focus on treating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse and neglect, and adolescents. I am looking to work with individuals who are ready to “enter the room” and “do the work,” moving at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m also a husband, father, and proud dog dad who hopes to help heal the world one person at a time.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing an Anxiety Therapist in Englewood
Searching for therapists in Englewood starts with knowing what kind of support you want and which therapist may fit those needs. People look for therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, work stress, and life transitions. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose listed specialties, training, and approach match what you want to focus on. A bio may mention cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or experience with specific communities, which can help you narrow your search.
Englewood is a smaller city within a larger North Jersey care network, so local in-person options may vary by schedule and office location. Virtual therapy can expand your search beyond nearby offices while still keeping you connected with a therapist licensed in New Jersey. When deciding who to book with, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading profiles before booking can also show how a therapist describes their style, session structure, and what you can expect in the first appointment.
Therapy in Englewood can be a significant cost without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before you start care. Headway helps you find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and choose between virtual and in-person options when available. You can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
