Getting care for your mental health should feel like a step forward, not another obstacle. As a dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Louisiana, I bring experience across both primary care and psychiatry so I can see the whole picture of your wellbeing. Whether you're working through anxiety, navigating mood challenges, or just figuring out where to start, I'll meet you where you are. My practice is fully telehealth, flexible, and designed around your schedule.
I take a warm, nonjudgmental approach to therapy where you can feel safe, seen, and accepted as you are. I bring a calm presence, gentle humor, and deep care for people into the room. My faith is important to me and shapes the way I love and honor others, while always respecting your beliefs and values. I am trained in trauma work and draw from CBT, person centered therapy, mindfulness, and I am actively learning EMDR to better support healing.
Hello,
I am a proud LGTB member that is flexible with my approach to assist with a variety of mental health barriers.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and grounded space from the beginning. I meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. I also specialize in complex and developmental trauma.
I support clients in integrating their spiritual and cultural values into therapy when desired and clinically appropriate. I was born in New Orleans and bring a culturally informed perspective shaped by my Latina, Indigenous, Christian, and Sephardic Jewish backgrounds.
I became a therapist because I have a deep commitment to helping people recognize and build their own strengths, especially during periods of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I understand that seeking support takes courage, and I work to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.
I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and PhD from Tulane University, as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana and Texas, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I also hold a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Prevention Professional (LPP), and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
Many of the people I work with carry experiences they've never felt fully safe putting into words — survivors of trauma and domestic violence, and clients caught in emotional or relationship patterns that feel impossible to shake. Some come in saying they "should be over this by now." Others describe feeling braced all the time, or unsure why the same painful patterns keep showing up. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to explain it perfectly to be understood.
Kayla, a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in community mental health, recognized the profound disparities in access to mental health care within BIPOC communities. Inspired by a vision of creating a space where healing is both inclusive and affordable, she founded Helen’s Project with the belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, regardless of their background or financial situation.Helen’s Project operates on the principle that culturally competent and empathetic mental health care is essential for holistic well-being. The organization collaborates with a diverse team of mental health professionals who not only possess clinical expertise but also understand the unique cultural nuances and challenges faced by the BIPOC community.
I am a Psychology Professor, Ordained Minister, Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in MS and LA, having been a therapist for 30 years. I am also a wife and mother of 3 adult daughters.
I’m Victoria, I’m a mother, single-parent who has been through it all and am very relatable. I have been in the mental health field for 20 years and I am very passionate in making sure I meet all your needs. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions from ADHD to Schizophrenia and I am equipped with the expertise and experience to safely manage your needs.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work, and I bring both clinical expertise and real life understanding into the therapy space. My professional background includes years of direct clinical practice as well as leadership roles in complex, high stress systems, including serving as a Mental Health Director. These experiences have shaped my ability to support individuals who are navigating pressure, responsibility, and emotional overwhelm while still being expected to function at a high level.
I work best with clients who are strong on the outside but struggling internally. Many of the people I support are women, mothers, professionals, caregivers, and helpers who are used to showing up for others while neglecting their own emotional needs. I have a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, identity concerns, and trauma related to past or ongoing stressors.
Therapy with me is not about having all the answers. It is about learning how to trust yourself, set healthy boundaries, and show up for your life with more compassion and confidence.
Are you looking for a therapist who is encouraging, warm, empathetic, and affirming? If so, you may be in the right place. Hi, I’m Kayla Bellard, and I’m here to support you in your journey toward healing and growth.
As a fellow Louisianian, I value connection, authenticity, and meeting people where they are. I enjoy southern cuisine, Mardi Gras parades, and spending time outdoors - and I bring that same warmth and down-to-earth approach into my work with clients. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and safe to explore your experiences.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and focused on your goals, needs, and personal growth. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and self-discovery. Together, we focus on collaboration, respect, and building insight so you can move forward with confidence and clarity.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship stress, trauma, or feeling stuck, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
