Hello, my name is Jeremiah Henderson. I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in the state of Texas. I have experience working with depression, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, low motivation, trauma, and anger. It is important to realize that we are all prone to experience life stressors and negative emotions that can knock us down; however, I want us to work to develop skills and coping mechanisms to assist in helping to pull ourselves back to a point of stability. Getting to a place of happiness and stability is not something we can stumble on by accident, it will take deliberate work to get there and even harder work to maintain it. I’m a therapist who supports individuals and couples through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood. As a mom myself, I understand that this season can bring incredible joy, but also stress, anxiety, overwhelm, relationship changes, and emotions that can be difficult to talk about.

I work with women, men, and couples to better understand what they’re experiencing, strengthen communication, and navigate this life transition together. Whether you’re struggling personally, trying to support your partner, or feeling disconnected as a couple, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 20 years experience in perinatal nursing. I specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, however you do not have to be a parent to make an appointment with me! That said, I currently only treat adults.

Inspired by a vision of creating a space where healing is both inclusive and affordable, she founded Helen’s Project with the belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, regardless of their background or financial situation.​​Helen’s Project operates on the principle that culturally competent and empathetic mental health care is essential for holistic well-being. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming. I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and grounded space from the beginning. I meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. I also specialize in complex and developmental trauma.

I support clients in integrating their spiritual and cultural values into therapy when desired and clinically appropriate. I was born in New Orleans and bring a culturally informed perspective shaped by my Latina, Indigenous, Christian, and Sephardic Jewish backgrounds.

I became a therapist because I have a deep commitment to helping people recognize and build their own strengths, especially during periods of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I understand that seeking support takes courage, and I work to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.

I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) and PhD from Tulane University, as well as a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana and Texas, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I also hold a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Licensed Prevention Professional (LPP), and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).

I have a passion for empowering others and helping them navigate through life's difficulties so they can live their life to the fullest. My professional experience ranges from addictions, mental health, and geriatric care to my most recent position as a hospice social worker.

With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families heal, grow, and reconnect with their strengths. My work is grounded in trauma-centered therapy, recognizing that many emotional and behavioral challenges are rooted in experiences that deserve compassion, understanding, and skilled support.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families, helping them navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of trauma.
