I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of Frontier Nursing University, with over 11 years of nursing experience and one year of advanced clinical training across outpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, inpatient detoxification, skilled nursing facilities, and telehealth. I provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar and mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, substance use disorders, and psychotic disorders, including complex and co-occurring presentations. My clinical background includes crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, stabilization, and long-term outpatient care focused on functional improvement and sustained recovery.

My career began in 1997 as an AmeriCorps member working in harm reduction during the peak of new HIV infections. Since then, I've held many roles as a proud social worker. I have been a therapist for 18 years, with extensive training & experience in harm reduction therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. My name is Christine Keanu and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have a professional background working with children, families, and individuals involved in a wide range of social service systems. My work has included supporting clients through complex life experiences, stressors, and transitions, often in settings where safety, trust and consistency are especially important.
