With over 25 years of experience as an addiction specialist, and a graduate of Nova Southeastern University specializing in Child and Youth Studies, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are substance and alcohol abuse, internet gambling, relationship problems, parenting and family issues.

He is a Licensed Psychotherapist and APA Board Certified in Professional Counseling; has a doctorate in Child and Youth Studies from Nova Southeastern University ’s Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services and a master’s in Mental Health Counseling; a specialist in the field of addictions, is certified in Addictions Counseling from the University of Miami; is a Certified Addictions Professional (C.A.P.) since 1994 and a Fellow of the American Psychotherapy Association. He is a member of the American Counseling Association.

I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in social work and therapy, and that experience has shaped how I think about mental health care. I’ve learned that what someone is experiencing is rarely just one thing. Our relationships, environment, past experiences, biology, and daily stressors can all play a role. I became a PMHNP-BC because I wanted to bring medication management into the same thoughtful, whole-person care I had been providing throughout my career.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 28 years of experience partnering with adolescents, adults of all ages and families. I am bilingual so I offer therapy in english and spanish.

With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma (including first responders), aging-related concerns, and members of the agricultural and farming communities.
