Hi, I’m Matthew Mulock, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping people heal, grow, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and my master’s degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice, from Saint Leo University. I am originally from Alaska, but Florida has been my home for the past 20 years. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and everyday stressors. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore what you are going through, and begin building the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

I am committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and purpose. With my first responder background, I bring a unique, real-world perspective to my work—one grounded in understanding, accountability, and compassion.

I have a decade of experience working in and around crisis, guiding individuals through the dark. I am currently licensed in FL and AL, as well as hold additional certifications in trauma-informed therapy and addictions.

I believe that growth is possible for everyone, no matter where they are starting. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, challenged, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a master’s-level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) practicing in Florida. My experience working in residential treatment settings for mental health and substance use has shaped my commitment to compassionate, client-centered care. Through years of clinical practice, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and life experiences impact daily functioning and overall well-being.

I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. Like many people, I have faced personal challenges that have deepened my understanding of mental health and strengthened my empathy for those I work with. I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Maine and have worked in home-based family programs, residential treatment settings, and a methadone clinic providing medication-assisted treatment. Throughout my career, I’ve supported adults with dual diagnoses, trauma, mood disorders, serious mental illness, and substance use concerns, as well as older adults navigating life transitions.

As a DNP-prepared, board-certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I firmly believe everyone has the right to quality mental health care. With many years of experience in mental health and a diverse nursing background, I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. Originally from New York, I hold a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a BA in Neuroscience. I worked at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies for thirteen years alongside world-class health and wellness experts, which brings depth to my work as a psychotherapist. Makenson is board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Master degree in nursing Practice (MSN). He is very passionate about providing high quality of comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. Makenson possesses strong clinical skills which enables him to build rapport with patients and families. He follows evidence-based practices, combined with clinical experience, good intuition and observation. As a PHMNP, Makenson's role is versatile, including patient's advocate, psychotherapy and ,therapist.
