I earned my Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Florida International University and have worked in a variety of settings, including the foster care system, residential treatment, and community mental health. My background includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, persistent mental health conditions, substance use, eating disorders, and major life transitions. I’ve also worked with veterans, individuals who are unhoused, and LGBTQIA2S+ clients.

In my practice, I work with clients experiencing anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also support clients with PTSD, some OCD presentations, and concerns related to gender, sexuality, and queer identity. My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and rooted in helping clients feel both emotionally safe and genuinely understood.

My professional foundation comes from my years of experience in the acute inpatient psychiatric setting. Navigating these high-intensity settings taught me to bring calming stability to those who are struggling, and I carry that into every outpatient telehealth visit. Today, my practice supports adults, adolescents, and children ages 6 and up through the everyday challenges that arrive when living with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. My previous education in biology and neuropsychology has provided me with knowledge that is invaluable, especially during trauma work. I’m Dr. Daniela De Medeiros, a clinical psychologist in Miami with over a decade of experience working with teens and adults from all walks of life. I work with people navigating anxiety, panic disorder, depression, ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, life transitions, identity, family conflict, relationship struggles, women’s issues, and the emotional weight of chronic illness and chronic pain. I hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) and a master’s in mental health counseling, with specialized training in health psychology. I’m also trilingual and conduct sessions in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
