I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where clients can show up as their authentic selves. My approach is compassionate, direct when needed, and focused on helping clients build practical tools for everyday life while also exploring deeper emotional patterns and experiences.
I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, stress, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm. I am passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients and creating an affirming therapeutic space where clients feel respected and understood.
I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful growth.
You deserve a space where you can say the hard thing out loud and not be judged for it. Whether you're a man who was never taught how to talk about any of this, someone rebuilding after alcohol or substance use, carrying grief you haven't had room to feel, or living with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, or stress that never fully switches off, you can bring it here and we'll work with it.
Outside of work I'm watching sports and playing basketball. I also appreciate time at the beach.
Provider with rich career progression spanning nursing, hospice care, and psychiatric care. Beginning her career as a registered nurse, Xiomara developed a deep understanding of patient care across diverse clinical settings before specializing in psychiatric mental health. If you find yourself constantly overwhelmed by "what-ifs", emotionally drained by workplace demands, or feeling disconnected from your relationships, your body and mind are telling you it's time for a pause. Anxiety, grief, and burnout often make life feel like a daily survival test rather than a life you actually get to live.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, substance abuse, and workplace/career difficulties.
My practice is entirely online, offering you a highly accessible, convenient, and confidential space to focus on your well-being. I'm deeply passionate about what I do - getting to truly listen to your story, hear where you're coming from, and serve as a dedicated, supportive figure in your corner.
When I'm not working with clients, I'm usually following my favorite sports teams, diving into my passion for music, and spending time with my wife and our pets. I look forward to partnering with you on your wellness journey!

My two passions in life are being a therapist and traveling the world. I completed my master's in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I love working with all individuals who need the extra help during the hardest times of their lives. I have professional experience with all ages. I have experience with anxiety, depression, high risk, stress management, trauma and more. In my professional journey I have worked in various environments including inpatient and outpatient.
Psychiatry was not a specialty I happened to find along the way. From the time I entered college, I knew that mental health and substance use treatment were where I wanted my career to lead. I bring a decade of nursing experience to my practice, including critical care and extensive experience in psychiatric emergency and substance use settings. Much of my career has been spent working with people at some of the most difficult, vulnerable, and complicated points in their lives.
That experience has taught me that there is usually much more to a person’s story than what appears in a medical chart. Trauma, relationships, environment, setbacks, resilience, and the paths we take through life all matter. I believe good psychiatric care starts with understanding that story, and not judging it.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use disorders, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. You can expect me to be straightforward, open-minded, and willing to listen. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being honest about where you are and what you’ve been through, without worrying that your past will define how you are treated.
Making the decision to seek mental health or substance use treatment can be one of the most difficult steps a person takes. I understand the courage it can require to ask for help, trust someone with your story, and begin making changes when you may not know exactly what comes next. I view your decision to sit across from me as a patient as a meaningful leap of faith, and I do not take that trust lightly.
Treatment is collaborative. We’ll look at where you are now, where you want to go, From there, we’ll develop a practical, evidence-based treatment plan that respects your preferences, circumstances, and life goals.
