I have 30 years of experience of helping those with those who have mental health, addictions and relationship problems. I am honored to help all who seek help with any of these issues. I help clients find solutions in a safe and non-judgmental place.
I’m Dr. Madeline Michel, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly 20 years of nursing experience and more than 13 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University and hold three board certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals across the lifespan in a variety of clinical settings. My professional background includes psychiatry, substance use disorders, cognitive disorders, and neurology. I previously practiced as a neurology hospitalist nurse practitioner at several hospitals throughout South Florida and as a cognition-specialized Gerontological Nurse Practitioner at the Louis and Anne Green Memory Wellness Center, a state-designated Memory Disorder Clinic. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of the relationship between mental, cognitive, neurological, and physical health.
I tend to work well with people whose lives or mental health do not fit neatly into one box. Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, substance use, relationship stress, or family conflict, and they often understand the pattern but still feel stuck in it. If you feel overwhelmed, reactive, burned out, or frustrated that insight alone has not created change, I want therapy to be a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making sense of what is happening beneath the surface.
I am currently accepting new clients. If you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time, you don’t have to sort through it alone. I work with adults of all ages to address past experiences, current concerns, and future goals in a welcoming, collaborative, and supportive space. If you’re looking for care that feels thoughtful, steady, and genuinely personal, we’ll create a path forward together.
I believe that prioritizing your mental health is a major key to a happy, fulfilling life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for 5 years, but before I was a therapist I taught high school. Because of my background in education, I love working with young adult females who are struggling with identity, self-confidence, anxiety and depression.
Finding the right support can feel overwhelming, and I want to make that journey a little easier. I bring genuine warmth to every session, with a deep commitment to meeting you where you are. Whether you're working through anxiety, facing depression, or navigating the challenges of addiction, my goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and equipped with tools that work in your life. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, and creating that space is something I take seriously.
I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals find balance, healing, and hope. I provide medication management and supportive therapy for adults dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and life stressors. My goal is to create a compassionate and judgment-free space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to take control of your mental health.
Hi and welcome! Reaching out for help can be one of the hardest first steps, so I'm glad you're here. I am a licensed mental health therapist who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, relationship concerns, and attachment wounds. I also have many years of experience working with people struggling with substance use.
